Along with Ken Asher, William was a founding director of the company.  Following the sad loss of Ken, William moved into this role to continue moving the company forward.  William has extensive infrastructure design experience gained over his 27 year career.

Paul Burley undertakes Structural Engineering services, including assessments and design work. Paul has been a Chartered Civil Engineer since 1984 and is an Approved Certifier of Design under the Structural Engineers Registration Ltd Scheme (SER Registration No SER1-D-00402). Paul has an extremely varied experience as a Structural Engineer covering a broad range of projects. Paul has worked locally in the Dumfries & Galloway area for 20 years and with Asher Associates for over 10 years.

Gerry has been a Chartered Structural Engineer since 1990 and is an Approved Certifier of Design under the Structural Engineers Registration Ltd Scheme (SER Registration No SER1-D-00399). He has an impressive track record and was responsible for project managing structural commissions for Mouchel Dumfries from Autumn 1994. He has been responsible for many major and minor structural engineering commissions for Asher Associates, including Gretna Gateway Outlet Village, Phase 2, James Jones Timber Development at Lockerbie, Phases 2 and 3, and a large number of schemes at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary, The Crichton and at Nestle, Dalston, Cumbria.

Wullie has worked with Asher Associates Ltd since May 2017, he is a very experienced Engineer and Project Manager, he has worked on a wide variety of projects.   Wullie has been a Chartered Structural Engineer since 2006 and is an Approved Certifier of Design under the Structural Engineers Registration Ltd Scheme (SER Registration No SER1-D-01469).  Wullie has provided Engineering input on a number of large industrial projects alongside many smaller scale projects such as extensions/conversions/new-builds.  Wullie is a valued and enthusiastic member of the team.

David Lorimer works in our Civil Engineering department designing with AutoCAD, Microdrainage and PDS packages. He graduated in 2006 with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. In 2011 he graduated with an MSc in Civil Engineering also at Heriot-Watt University.  David has achieved his NVQ Level 3 in Design of Water Main Networks.  David is currently working towards becoming chartered.

Robert Richmond joined our Structural Engineering team in 2011 as a Graduate Civil Engineer B.Eng(Hons) and has achieved an MSc in Structural & Foundation Engineering at Heriot-Watt University.  Robert has recently became chartered.

Ross joined Asher Associates in February 2018 having previously worked for Dumfries and Galloway Council for over 11 years. Ross has experience of various civil and structural engineering projects including Buildings, Bridges, Roads, and Flood Protection Schemes. Ross has an MSc in Advanced Structural Engineering and has recently became chartered chartered.

Ryan Carson is responsible for all structural CAD drawing and detailing, while also managing the IT systems in the office. He joined Mouchel in early 1995 as a trainee technician, remaining with the company when it became Asher Associates.

Pete Hutton is one of our AutoCAD technicians and frequently gets involved in our larger and more complex projects. He joined the company in 2003.

Dan Orsi joined our team in December 2014 as a Junior Technician. He is currently studying via the Open University with a view to progressing towards a Structural Engineering qualification.

Frazer McClelland joined our team in September 2016 as a Junior Technician. He is currently studying at Glasgow Kelvin College with a view to obtaining his HND in Civil Engineering.

Ryan Johnston joined our team in March 2017 as a Junior Technician. He is currently studying at Glasgow Caledonian University with a view to obtaining his degree in Environmental Civil Engineering.

Kyle McQueen joined our team in October 2018 as a Junior Technician. He is currently studying with a view to obtaining his HNC in Civil Engineering.

Lesley Stephens joined Asher Associates in early 2010 and is responsible for managing our accounts, supervising the office administration responsibilities and looking after reception. Lesley works part time.

Debbie Dixon has been employed by Asher Associates since 2008. She works part time on reception, carrying out administrative duties.

Ken Asher passed away suddenly in May 2017.  He is sorely missed by all at Asher Associates and in the wider business community.
